Digigrids User Guide

Register First

Go to Login from the menu, then click the Register link to be taken to the registration page. All we require is your callsign, email address, your selected password and your 4 character Maidenhead locator.

When you click 'Register' an email will be sent to your email address with a verification link which you must follow to complete the registration. Don't forget to check your junk mail if you do not receive it in your Inbox.

If you are not already at the login page select 'Login' from the menu. This is straight forward and self explanatory. After logging in you will be taken to your dashboard.

Dashboard

Shown below is the dashboard you will see after you login. The award tiles on the left are where the awards you will become eligible for will be identified. The file upload section on the right is where you select an adi file for upload. This file must have been exported from logging software or LOTW direct.

Note - if you download directly from LOTW you must tick/ check 'Include QSL details' or the file will not work. Only qso's that have been matched at LOTW will count here.

Please remember only FT4 or FT8 qso's made after 1st January, 2025 will be counted - any earlier or different mode QSO's that are in your adi file will be automatically ignored. Therefore there is no need to edit your file before upload.

It should also be noted that some qso's may need verifying by our systems and will be ignored until verification is complete. Once verified they will be added to your field / grid counts.

The first 3 links below the file upload section are self expanatory. The 'My Awards' link will be explained later.

After a second or two your dashboard will reload and if all is well with your uploaded file and you are eligible for an award you will see something similar to the image of a dashboard shown below.

The bands where there is no award eligibilty the number of fields and grids you have worked are still shown - in this case 0 fields and 0 grids.

NOTE: The award icon, field and grid numbers shown below are purely illustrative and should not be taken as real requirements.

Claiming and Obtaining an Award Certificate

Claiming and receiving your award by file download is easy. If there is an award 'eligible' icon on your dashboard just click the icon. You will then be taken to an image of your award certificate. At this point it is not complete.

You will see a 'Download Certificate' button under the certificate (Shown below). Click that and the complete certificate will be generated.

After a short time the full certificate will be generated and then will be offered for download as a zip file. The zip file will contain your certificate as both a PNG file and a PDF file.

Copies of your fully generated certificates will be kept on our server. These copies will have links to them in your 'My Awards' page which is shown below. So even if your automatic download fails or you cancel it, you can still obtain the certicate files at anytime.

Above the download links are badges depicting the awards you have earned. If you click the 'Copy Embed Code' button some html code will be copied to your clipboard which you can then add to a webpage such as your profile at qrz.com etc. The badge will then show up on your page.

If the badge is placed on a web page anyone seeing it can click it and are sent to digigrids.net to see verification details confirming that your award is authentic and not just copied from someone else.

The QR code on your actual certificate serves the same purpose. If someone scans the QR code they are taken to our website and see the same verification details.

Note: Either method of verification does NOT give access to your account at digigrids.net

The Award Certificates

There are 4 types of award for multiband and each band from 160m to 6m. They are Bronze, Silver, Gold and Elite. The requirements for each award is different for each award. The exact requirements can be seen on the Award Criteria page. The requirements might appear a daunting task but many digital mode operators make hundreds of qso's a day.

As you will see each certificate has a world map with the Maidenhead Fields superimposed on it. Each field you have worked to earn that award are highlighted as is your home location.

You will also see at the bottom of each certificate a unique award number, a security code and a QR code. The security code and QR code have already been discussed earlier.

A sample certificate minus its security information, can be seen on the Example Certificate page.
